Ukraine Needs Million Shells, Wagner Claims Eastern Bakhmut, Zelensky Fears “Open Road For Russia
Wagner head Yevgeny Prigozhin claims the Russian mercenary group has taken "all the eastern part" of Bakhmut. The Ukrainian military claims to have killed at least 100 Russian soldiers in Bakhmut in the past 24 hours. The Ukrainian military claims Wagner group mercenaries are suffering “heavy losses” in the battle for Bakhmut. Prigozhin has sent a video message from inside Bakhmut to Ukrainian President Zelensky, hitting back at claims of heavy Wagner losses.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Zelensky has warned that capture of Bakhmut would give Russia an “open road" to other cities in Donetsk. EU defence ministers are meeting in Stockholm to discuss a plan to rush one billion euros of ammunition to Ukraine.
