Ukraine Links Counterattack to Weather, Partisans Blow Up Rail For Russia Troops, Xi-Zelensky Talks

Pro-Ukrainian guerrillas destroyed a stretch of railway in occupied Kherson in a logistical blow to Russian forces. Ukraine claims members of the Atesh partisan movement blew up the railway track in the occupied part of Kherson on March 12. Russian forces have allegedly targeted the eastern town of Vuhledar with incendiary thermite munitions. The Belgorod Oblast Governor claims Moscow’s forces shot down 4 missiles over the Russian region bordering Ukraine. Meanwhile, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov met Putin, promising to “carry on until a victorious end” in Ukraine. Chinese President Xi Jinping reportedly plans to visit Russia to meet Vladimir Putin next week.
