WHO WAS SERIGNE TOUBA MBACKE CHEIKH AHMADOU BAMBA
Serigne Touba Mbacké, also known as Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Mbacké, is a major religious and political figure in the history of Senegal and the Mouride community. He was born in 1853 in Mbacké, western Senegal, and founded the Mouride brotherhood in 1883.

• After his return to Senegal in 1902, Serigne Touba continued his teachings and his struggle against injustice. He encouraged his disciples to work hard, be honest, and help the less fortunate. He also founded many schools and healthcare centers for local populations.
Today, Serigne Touba is revered as a saint by the Mouride community and is considered one of the most important figures in the history of Islam in Africa. His life and teachings continue to inspire millions of people around the world, and his message of peace, tolerance, and love remains just as relevant today.
