Water balloons can be a fun and exciting activity for kids to enjoy during playtime. Here are some ideas for kids to play with water balloons: Water balloon toss: Divide kids into pairs and have them stand facing each other a few feet apart. Toss a water balloon back and forth, taking a step back after each successful catch. The pair that tosses the balloon the farthest without it breaking wins. Water balloon piñata: Hang water balloons from a tree or pole and have kids take turns trying to break them open with a stick. Water balloon oddball: Split kids into two teams and designate a "safe zone" for each team. Players throw water balloons at the opposing team, trying to tag them out. If a player gets hit, they must sit in their team's safe zone until a teammate catches a water balloon thrown by the other team, which allows them to return to the game. Water balloon painting: Fill water balloons with different colors of paint and have kids throw them at a large canvas or sheet of paper to create a unique artwork. Water balloon tag: One child is "it" and tries to tag other players by hitting them with a water balloon. If a player gets hit, they become "it."
