Ukraine Warned On Counterattack Window, Putin Welcomes Xi Peace Plan

A Russia-installed official says Ukrainian forces have been amassing weapons in Zaporizhzhia for a counter offensive. Russia says it shot down 5 HIMARS rockets, a HARM anti-radiation missile and 7 Ukrainian drones in Donbas over the past day. Putin welcomed China's plan to settle the "acute crisis" in Ukraine, at the start of talks with Xi Jinping at the Kremlin. Xi Jinping also hailed “close ties” between Russia and China, calling the two countries “partners in comprehensive strategic cooperation”. However, US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, raised doubts over China’s intent, warning it could be a "stalling tactic" to help Russia on the ground in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev has threatened a hypersonic missile strike against the International Criminal Court (ICC).
