Ubiquitous drones are the primary lesson to be derived from this war so far. Deep surveillance combined with precision artillery (and longer range artillery) devalue tactical satellite observation as well as overly expensive air dominance. Without stealth supported deep interdiction I just don't see a significant role for F-16s other than to counter Russian air and rotor assets.
