The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister says that Russia will strengthen its military capabilities in the western and northwestern regions. The Russian vice president says that the Russian military will be strengthened in response to Finland's expected accession to NATO. Note that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said that Finland will become a member of NATO on Tuesday.
