Crucial Missile Prototype Test Fails, What Next For US As China & Russia Lead Hypersonic Race
The US has faced a setback in its efforts to catch up with China and Russia in a key weapons capability. Lockheed Martin Corp.'s hypersonic missile prototype failed to transmit in-flight performance data on its second test flight. The US Air Force didn’t report the transmission failure and loss of data in the March 13 exercise. The USAF said that the test met several of the objectives and team engineers and testers are collecting data for further analysis.
