Old Mother Hubbard" is a short animated film that was released in 1935. The cartoon is based on the popular nursery rhyme of the same name.
The story follows Old Mother Hubbard, an old woman who lives with her dog in a small cottage. The cupboard in her kitchen is completely empty, and she decides to go to the bakery to get some food for herself and her dog.
However, when she gets to the bakery, she discovers that the shelves are bare and there is no food left. She tries a few other stores, but they are all sold out as well.
As she returns home empty-handed, her dog suddenly remembers that he had buried a bone in the garden. He leads her to the spot where the bone is buried, and they both happily feast on it.
The cartoon features colorful and playful animation and stays true to the original nursery rhyme. The short film is notable for its catchy music and sound effects, which were common features of early animated cartoons.
