Russia Hits Major Fuel Depot, Ammo Warehouses
The Russian defence ministry claims its forces have destroyed a depot containing 70,000 tonnes of fuel near Zaporizhzhia city. Russia says it destroyed Ukraine army warehouses storing missiles, ammo and other artillery weapons in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions. Earlier, Ukraine alleged two Russian missiles hit a private residence in the city of Zaporizhzhia on April 9, killing 2 people.
Meanwhile, The Washington Post has reported that leaked war papers show Wagner Group “sought to purchase arms from Turkey, a NATO ally”. The Kremlin has slammed West for reacting hysterically to Russia's plans to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus. Ukrainian President Zelensky said NATO could only guarantee the protection of Europe when Ukraine joins the alliance. Zelensky has announced that Poland will send 200 Rosomak infantry vehicles to Ukraine soon.
