Why Ukraine Fears Losing The Battle for Skies

Ukraine has warned it could run out of air defence ammunition by May, giving Russia air superiority. This will not only put Ukraine’s planned spring offensive in jeopardy but also increase the risk of Russian bombardment of cities. The Ukrainian air force’s warning follows a similar grim assessment by US defence officials. The air force has also warned that Ukraine’s nuclear power stations will be “vulnerable”.
