Manchester City advances to the 2022(2023) FA Cup Final. This was after Citizenz defeated Sheffield United 3 empty through Riyad Mahrez's hat-trick. In the semifinal match which was held at Wembley Stadium, Saturday (22/4/2023) evening WIB, Mahrez scored one goal in the first half and the rest in the second half. After that, City were able to control the match as usual and did not give Sheffield the opportunity to develop their game. City, which fielded Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez, played dominantly from the early minutes. Riyad Mahrez had a chance to make a free kick in the 22nd minute but the ball hit the living fence and only went wide. A minute later it was Alvarez's turn to test the toughness of Sheffield goalkeeper, Wes Foderingham, even though he was pushed over. City who continued to press finally scored in the 41st minute after being awarded a penalty because Bernardo Silva was fouled. Mahrez as the executor successfully outwitted Foderingham to create an empty score that lasted until halftime. Entering the second half, City still controlled the game. Haaland almost scored a goal in the 55th minute if Sergi Gomez's cross was not sideways. Mahrez listed his name on the scoreboard again in the 61st minute. The Algerian scored a hat-trick five minutes later. Jack Grealish got a long ball from the right and cut in from the left, past his marker, before pulling the ball in which Mahrez found. Winning three goals made City more comfortable in controlling the match and chose to relax the pressure. Alvarez almost got City's fourth goal had he not fired wide in the 89th minute. No more goals were scored until the end of the match and Manchester City also qualified for the 2022 (2023) FA Cup final.
