70 Years old female happy after Surgery

70 years old female ,Maina from Jagatsinghpur living with her husband at village. She was suffering from vision problem while doing her daily activities including cooking food and serving her ailing spouse. At advanced Eye care hospital she was tested to have Cataract in both her eyes with Visual acuity 6/36(parts)in right and counting fingers at one meter distance in left eye. So after pre-operative examinations done, her left eye having worse vision was planned to be operated .She was informed that as she is a ration card holder, her treatment would be fully covered by Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY-a Health Insurance Scheme Sponsored by Odisha state Govt.) . By the Advanced Phaco Emulsification procedure Cataract Surgery was done with foldable hydrophobic intraocular lens implantation. On postoperative day1,Her vision was found to be 6/9(good visual outcome).She felt glad with a hope to leave the desperate life that she had before for vision and live a better one . At the time of discharge ,With a heartfelt gratitude she thanked all the staff with doctors of the hospital and finally to the Government of Odisha for support.
