Dug-dug Mong Culture in Batuyang, The sesuhunan culture that surrounds the village is accompanied by gamelan drums and kemong. From the sound of the drums and kemong, it is said that people are more familiar with this tradition by the name 'dug-dug mong'. This noble culture is intended to neutralize the village from distress and also ask for safety and well-being from the Almighty. From early in the morning, people have started coming to the temple to offer their devotions. The atmosphere was getting busier as the day wore on, the percussion of rah had started to be performed as well as the sound of the kul-kuls starting to resonate, the dug-dug mong tradition would soon begin. One by one tapakan in the form of barongs from several temples came to the outside of Penataran Temple, Batuyang Village. After all have gathered, the barong-barong with the people hold a grand celebration and then get ready to go around the village. The steps go hand in hand followed by the villagers and at each intersection the prayer is stopped.
