Russia carries out practice launches of ballistic and cruise missiles

Russian forces have carried out practice launches of their ballistic and cruise missiles today. While the exercise is performed annually, and the US was informed in advance of it happening, it comes as Russia steps up nuclear rhetoric, including claims that Ukraine will use a radioactive “dirty bomb” as a provocation, an assertion that has been repeatedly dismissed as false by Ukraine and its Western allies.
