Russia Suspends Ukraine Grain Deal Putin Ends Mobilisation
The Luhansk Oblast governor claims the Svatove-Kreminna highway is “almost under Ukraine’s control”. Ukraine’s Air Force claims to have shot down two Su-25 attack aircraft, one Mi-8 helicopter and one Russian UAV over the past day. Ukrainian forces claim it is gaining ground in Kherson, liberating villages and advancing towards the west bank of the Dnipro River. Ukrainian special forces unit "Khort" claims to have killed the deputy chief of staff of the Wagner Group.
Meanwhile, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu announced the end of partial mobilisation in Russia, with the conscription of 300,000 people. Russia has suspended participation in the UN-brokered Ukraine grain deal following drone attacks on its ships in Crimea. Moscow warned that the deployment of US nuclear bombs in Europe would lower the “nuclear threshold”.
