Putin Admits Revenge Missile Strikes, Ukraine Downs Two Ka-52 in 3 Mins

The Luhansk Oblast Governor Serhii Haidai claims Ukraine’s army liberated 9 settlements in the region. Ukraine’s Air Force claims its anti-aircraft missile units shot down two Ka-52 helicopters within 3 minutes on October 31. Russian forces claim it “wiped out” over 2,500 Ukrainian soldiers over the past week. Ukraine claims at least 950 Russian soldiers had been killed in combat on October 31 alone. Meanwhile, Putin said the strikes on Ukraine were "to an extent" a response to attacks on Sevastopol, warning "we can do more". The UK foreign secretary has warned Russia of "severe consequences" if it uses nuclear weapons in Ukraine.
