Arc Raiders Headwinds patch fixes Seed Vault exploit and removes guitar puzzle
Gamesradar reports that Embark Studios' Headwinds update for Arc Raiders is now live, filling the city with birds, adding a new mode, fixing the Stella Montis Seed Vault extract and switching off the Buried City guitar puzzle.
Buried City had contained a map-wide orienteering exercise — pressing 15 buttons across the whole location in a particular order — which players found frustrating while still dealing with arcs and other players. The patch places the guitars in Shani's shop to buy; "That puzzle was damn near impossible unless you waited 'til the last six-to-ten minutes and still not guaranteed," says one Reddit commenter, "At least you can purchase it now." Others lamented losing the side-quest and the "thrill of the chase," while another described a lengthy solo attempt: "60+ stims, ten lure grenades, nine zip lines, and three hours."
Specifically on Stella Montis, the update prevents players from hiding in the Seed Vault after the extract goes off and popping others as they enter. The remainder of the notes are the usual fixes and minor alterations, and the patch kicks off the Arc Raiders 2026 roadmap, with Embark continuing to tinker.
