Melinda French Gates on Trust, Forgiveness and Epstein Emails
In a report from People, Melinda French Gates spoke on NPR’s Wild Card podcast about trust and forgiveness while fielding questions about her ex-husband, Bill Gates and newly released emails involving Jeffrey Epstein. She said growing older taught her the importance of “absolute trust” in relationships and admitted she once thought she might never trust again.
Melinda added that she trusted herself, that trust can be rebuilt in “baby steps,” and that with the right person you can learn to trust again. Asked if she was “good at forgiveness,” Melinda replied that she is, but emphasized that forgiveness “can take a long time” and cannot be rushed.
