Team USA Medal Winners at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics
The Milan Cortina Winter Olympics are underway in northern Italy. Team USA arrived with a record 232 athletes, the largest U.S. Winter Games delegation, and features notable medal hopefuls such as men's figure skater Ilia Malinin, snowboarder Chloe Kim, alpine skier Mikaela Shiffrin, speed skater Jordan Stolz, and both the men's and women's hockey teams.
Live coverage of the Games continues through February 22, and a running tally is tracking which American athletes have reached the podium so far. Wyoming skier Breezy Johnson claimed the first U.S. gold on Sunday, February 8, winning the women's downhill. It was Johnson's first Olympic medal after missing the 2022 Games due to injury; she also competes in the women's super-G.
The U.S. figure skating team — seven skaters in all — also won gold in the team event on February 8.
