INTERSTATE GANJA PEDDLERS NABBED BY SOT-MAHESHWARAM ZONE TEAM & CHAITANYAPURI POLICE, RACHAKONDA– (03) HELD FOR TRANSPORTING OF GANJA FROM MALKANGIRI OF ODISHA STATE TO KARNATAKA VIA HYDERABAD. On credible information, the sleuths of Special Operations Team (SOT), Maheshwaram Zone team along with Chaitanyapuri police busted a Ganja racket by apprehending (03) interstate peddlers and seized (64) Kilo Grams of Contraband Substance and other incriminating material from their possession. Veera Bhadraiah, age: 23 years, Occ: Driving, R/o: Vidyanagar Colony, Bidar (V&M), Karnataka State. (Source) 2 : Jorge S/o. Rajappa, age: 30 years, Occ: Driver, R/o: Old Mylure, Bidar, Karnataka State. 3 : Swami Vinod S/o. Baswaraj, age: 25 years, Occ: Sand Business, R/o: Basnal (V), Aurad (M), Bidar district, Karnataka State. 4 : Appa Rao @ Janardhan R/o. Pappuluru (V), Malkangiri district, Odisha State. (Supplier) - Absconding Seized Property:- 1) Dry Ganja- 64 Kg's (contains 33 Packets -each packet contains 2 Kg's) 2) Two-Wheeler – (01) 3) Mobile Phones- (03) 4) Net Cash Rs. 600/- All w/Rs.13,30,600/- (Thirteen Lakhs Thirty Thousand Six Hundred Rupees) Brief Facts:- As part of proactive action against the drug peddlers the SOT, Maheshwaram Zone team along with Chaitanyapuri police apprehended an interstate Ganja transporting syndicate. The above accused persons are having acquittance with each other and addicted to social vices. The A1) Shivalingaiah Swami, A2) Jorge and A3) Swami Vinod for transporting Ganja by showing them of heavy profits and earning easy money by doing illegal business. Accordingly, A4) Appa Rao @ Janardhan R/o. Pappuluru (V), Malkangiri district, Odisha State purchased 64 Kgs of Ganja from his known sources at Malkangiri concealed the same in plastic gunny bags and came to Hyderabad by using public transport and got down at Kothapet X roads and delivered the same A1 to A3. On 08-07-2023 early hours, A-1 to A-3 were present at Kothapet X Roads, under the limits of Chaitanyapuri police station to proceed Karnataka, on reliable information the sleuths of SOT, Maheshwaram Zone Team and Chaitanyapuri Police nabbed the suspected persons and seized 64 Kgs of Contraband Dry Ganja, (01) Motor Cycle, (03) Mobile phones and Net Cash Rs.600/- from their possession under the cover of Panchanama. The arrested accused produced before the Hon’ble court for judicial remand. The above arrests were made under the direct supervision of Shri D S Chauhan, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda under the guidance of Shri R. Giridhar , DCP, SOT, Rachakonda, Smt.
