HELD FOUR INTERSTATE GANJA PEDDLERS - SEIZED (90) KGS GANJA AND (1) CAR ALL WORTH OF RS.25 LAKHS On 11.07.2023, the sleuths of TS-NAB along with Patancheru Police, on credible information apprehended (4) Ganja Peddlers by name 1) Vanthala Raja Rao, 2) Vanthala Babji, 3) Anupoju Sai Siva Kumar and 4) Rathod Venkat who were in possession of Narcotic Drug i.e., Ganja while transporting in the limits of Patancheru PS. Seized (90) KGs Ganja, (1) Hyundai Santro Car bearing regd.No.UK07AA 9828 and (4) Cell phones. All worth Rs. 25 Lakhs from their possession. Details of the Accused: 1) Vanthala Raja Rao, Age: 35 years, R/o Chintapalli, Alluri Sitaramaraju Dist, A.P. 2) Vanthala Babji, Age: 26 years R/o Chintapally, Alluri Sitaramaraju Dist, A.P. 3) Anupoju Sai Siva Kumar, Age: 28 years, R/o East Godavari Dist., A.P. 4) Rathod Venkat, Age: 34 years, R/o Shankar Naik Thanda, Nagalgidda Mandal, Sangareddy Dist. Modus Operandi:- The accused persons Vanthala Raja Rao and Vanthala Babji hails from Alluri Sitaramaraju Dist, A.P. For earning easy money and to lead lavish life they are cultivating Ganja in their agricultural land and transporting to other dealers. The accused persons 1) Vanthala Raja Rao, 2) Vanthala Babji, 3) Anupoju Sai Siva Kumar have become friends and developed contacts with the Ganja dealer and distributoros i.e. Rathod Venkat R/o Shankar Naik Thanda. To earn easy money have started cultivating Ganja in their interior agricultural fields in Vishaka agency area of Andhra Pradesh and modified a Santro Car to conceal the Ganja inside the front and backside of bumper and secret boxes beneath the car and regularly transporting to the distributors, who in turn sell the same secretly to other peddlers and suppliers in and around Zaheerabad and also to Mumbai City. Venkat Rathod is major distributor in Zaheerabad Town. On credible information on 11.07.2023 when the accused persons 1) Vanthala Raja Rao, 2) Vanthala Babji, 3) Anupoju Sai Siva Kumar and 4) Rathod Venkat were travelling in Santro Car and secretly bringing 90 Kg’s of Ganja, the sleuth of TS NAB along with Patancheru PS staff apprehended them. Seized (90) KGs Ganja, (1) Hyundai Santro Car bearing No.UK07AA 9828 and (4) Cell phones, total worth of Rs. 25 Lakhs. APPEAL TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC: In recent times we have seen several youth/students getting addicted to Drugs/Ganja, committing crime and involving in other anti-social activities. Several families have become victims of this menace. It is an ardent request from TS-NAB, Hyderabad City Police to the youth/students not to fall prey to drugs/Ganja and request the parents to keep a watch on the activities of their children and feel free to approach Police or pass information to Police on Phone No.8712671111 to curtail such anti-social activities and strive for Drug free State.
