First on the list is Jonathan Luna, a federal prosecutor who was found dead in a creek in Pennsylvania in 2003. He was stabbed 36 times and drowned. Despite an extensive investigation, the killer was never found. Next up is Harvey Dent, a defense attorney who was shot and killed in his office in 1993. The killer was a disgruntled client who had lost his case. Then there's Judge Joseph Crater, who disappeared without a trace in 1930. He was last seen leaving a restaurant in New York City. His disappearance remains a mystery to this day. Another tragic case is that of Judge Rowland Barnes and court reporter Julie Brandau, who were shot and killed in an Atlanta courthouse in 2005. The shooter was Brian Nichols, an escaped prisoner who had been on trial for rape. Last but not least is Judge John Wood, who was assassinated in his home in Texas in 1979. The killer was Charles Harrelson, father of actor Woody Harrelson. These cases serve as a reminder of the dangers that come with working in the legal system.
