Japanese military personnel arrived in Ketapang, West Kalimantan, on Thursday (3/9/2026) to assist in tackling forest and land fires.

"Japan has deployed 180 personnel to Ketapang, West Kalimantan, to fight wildfires. The mission uses three CH-47 Chinook helicopters and the ship JS Kunisaki.
