Preventing Black Hairy Tongue

Black hairy tongue can be caused by a variety of factors, including poor oral hygiene, smoking, drinking coffee and tea, and using antibiotics. The bacteria that live in the mouth feed on the dead skin cells and produce pigments that give the tongue its distinctive color.
