Hobbyist’s GTA5 V4EVER mod adds roughly 20,000 objects to refresh Los Santos
A hobbyist modder known as Pluma_1980 is working on GTA5 V4EVER, a large mod that adds roughly 20,000 new world objects to update the atmosphere of Los Santos and Blaine County.
Rather than being a simple reshade or texture swap, the project populates the map with trees, plants, shrubs, fences, poles, signs, street clutter and other roadside scenery to re-densify the game world.
Outdated props such as phone booths have been removed, and neighbourhoods have been retouched with fresh paint or added grime based on their economic standing, with the stated aim of making the world feel "alive and renewed, without losing the original spirit."
The result so far is a visibly re-densified Los Santos and Blaine County: main thoroughfares feel refreshed while peripheral areas are reinvigorated by the additional environmental detail.
Pluma_1980 says the goal is to "refresh the world — to make every part of the map feel alive again, like a game built for today," a large undertaking driven by a single hobbyist creator.
