Kanye West brings 12-year-old daughter North onstage for surprise Mexico City duet
Kanye West’s 12-year-old daughter, North West, joined her father onstage Friday for a surprise duet at his Mexico City concert, performing an unreleased song for about 40,000 fans inside the venue.
Social media footage showed Kanye walking alongside his eldest child while he wore an all-white jumpsuit and North hit the stage with her signature blue hair and an oversized all-black ensemble.
During the performance Kanye sang, "You know, I never left you," and continued, "'Cause every road that leads to heaven is right beside you / so I can say, 'Hello, my only one,'" per the clip. North then chimed in, singing her part before the pair left the stage, with video showing Kanye beaming as he followed her off.
After the show North posted a close-up photo of her look to her Instagram Stories without a caption. Earlier this month she also shared a snippet of another collaboration with her dad, rapping on a track titled "Piercing on My Hand (Ye’s version)," including lines such as, "Piercing on my hand, the other holding bands," and, "I want more piercings and tats/I love blue hair put it in some plaits."
The duet was one of the unreleased songs the pair performed; North has been sharing musical snippets recently, and it was not announced whether the tracks will be officially released.
