A report from Theguardian says Liam Rosenior accused Arsenal of disrespect after their staff entered the wrong half and disrupted Chelsea’s warm-up before the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final at the Emirates Stadium. Television cameras caught Chelsea’s head coach losing his cool and aiming a foul-mouthed outburst at an unidentified member of Arsenal staff.

Rosenior said the issue was not the Arsenal players and stressed that there were “certain etiquettes in football” to observe. He said he had asked someone, “maybe not politely, to make sure they stay in their half,” because they were affecting his players’ and staff’s warm-up, added that he was not seeking mind games, and said he had “so much respect” for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta but felt that respect was not shown in that moment.

Arsenal reached the final after a late Kai Havertz goal sealed a 4-2 aggregate win. Chelsea were criticised for their cautious approach and were without a host of key players.
