Why Tor provides more privacy than incognito mode
Zdnet reports that earlier advice on browser privacy recommended using the Tor Browser; in simplest terms, you cannot get more privacy and security from a web browser than when using Tor.
Tor uses the Onion network: Tor is short for "The Onion Router." Traffic is encapsulated in layers of encryption and transmitted through a series of nodes called "onion routers," and as traffic passes through a node it peels off a single layer, revealing the next destination and making it very difficult for a third party to trace your internet activity.
All you need is the Tor Browser installed on your device; when you first launch it should connect to the Onion network and you can enable the "Always connect automatically" option. Some sites may return a 403 Error; in that case click the padlock icon and choose "New Circuit for this Site." The browser can be slower than average, but the added privacy and security are presented as the trade-off.
