BANNED CIGARETTE RACKET BUSTED – SEIZED Rs.12,00,000/- WORTH BANNED CIGARETTES On 11-06-2023 the sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone team apprehended one person by name Mohandas Thakur who is, transporting the banned cigarettes from the premises Sri Ganpathi Road Lines” @ OTC Transport, Gowliguda, Hyderabad on the directions of Syed Moinuddin @Babbu & Mohd.Abdul Razzak @ Basheer and earning money illegally. Seized Rs.12 Lakhs worth rupees banned Cigarettes packets from his possession. Details of accused:- 1)Mohandas Thakur S/o Chuhar Singh, Age: 52 yrs, Occ: Manager of Sri Ganpathi Road Lines Transport, R/o. 15-3-359/528, Gowliguda, Afzalgunj, Hyderabad. Ph: 9348011311. 2)Syed Moinuddin @Babbu, S/o. Syed Mahtab Khan, Aged: 32 years, Occ: Glass Fitting, r/o.H.No. 13-1-300, Allabanda R.K.Pet, Mahgalhat, Hyderabad Cell No.9398407780. (Absconding) 3)Mohd.AbdulRazzak @ Basheer,s/o. Mohd Naseer,Age about: 33 years, Occ: Private Employee, r/o. H. No. Pillar No. 210, Attapur, Rajendra Nagar, Hyderabad Cell No. 8919383657 (Absconding) Previously accused involved in Below mentioned Crimes:- 1.Crime No: 134/2023 U/s 20(2) COTPA of PS Afzalgunj 2.Crime No: 264/2023 U/s 20(2) COTPA of PS Afzalgunj Brief about the accused:- The accused Persons Syed Moinuddin @ Babbu and Mohd. Abdul Razzak @ Basheer are Habitual offender previously they were involved in similar type of cases from Afzalgunj Police station. Further they started illegal business of selling the banned cigarettes, and used to store the banned cigarettes which was transported through Sri Ganpathi Road Lines Transport, located at Gowliguda, Hyderabad. Modus operandi:- The accused Persons Syed Moinuddin @ Babbu and Mohd. Abdul Razzak @ Basheer came to contact with Mohandas Thakur who is running transport business at Gowliguda, Hyderabad. The both accused persons hatched a plan to purchase banned cigarettes i.e. Paris on lowest price from Delhi and sell the same in Hyderabad on highest price to earn easy money. They both accused persons paid huge amount to Mohandas Thakur for transport of banned cigarettes. By using his transporters contacts, he contacted some of the dealers at Delhi and started purchasing banned cigarettes on lowest price from them and selling the same in Hyderabad on highest price and earning money illegally. Since the starting of their illegal business of Banned cigarettes they uses the OTC Transport, Gowliguda, Hyderabad. They are procuring the banned cigarettes on lowest price and used to sell the same highest price in Hyderabad city. It is also found that there are no pictorial warnings on Cigarette packets. The accused were dishonestly and fraudulently procuring Cigarettes to avoid customs duty and also to avoid GST which is causing wrongful loss to Government and also cheating to the gullible people in the guise of original cigarettes, which is act of cause endanger to the human life. On 11-06-2023 the accused Mohandas Thakur while transporting/selling banned cigarettes at premises of Sri Ganpathi Road Lines Transport. Meantime the West Zone Task Force team apprehended him along with banned cigarettes i.e. Paris Total Worth Rs. 12, 00,000/-. The arrested accused along with seized material was handed over to SHO, Afzalgunj PS, Hyderabad for further investigation. The arrest was made under the supervision of Sri P.Radha Kishan Rao, Dy.Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad by Sri Mohd Khaleel Pasha, Inspector of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone team, and SIs Sri Sheik Kaviuddin, of West Zone Task Force and staff of Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone Team, Hyderabad.
